St. Patrick's Day Treasure Hunt!

Who saids you need to go outside to have a fun filled treasure hunt?! We decided to take the hunt inside and try out this quick and easy Shamrock shaving cream hunt! Things will get messy, including your littles, so you've been warned but oh boy did we have FUN!

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

- Large Bin
- Mens Shaving Cream (lots and lots of it!)
- Green Glitter
- Paper Shamrocks (we found ours at the Dollar Store)
- Plastic Green Table cover (optional but totally needed!)
- Large Bowl of Water
- Paper Towels

DIRECTIONS:

STEP 1: I first prepared the table for the disaster to come.. and covered the table with the plastic table cover. Then I took handfuls of the gold and green shamrocks and dumped them into two separate clear bins. My boys LOVE little competitions so I thought this might be fun to kick it up a notch!

STEP 2: Then I sprayed the shaving cream all over the bottom of the bins, making sure to cover all the shamrocks. Once everything was foamy and fluffy enough for my liking (hehe) I sprinkled some green glitter all over the top of the shaving cream. This added a fun festive touch I thought!

STEP 3: Now it was time to call the boys in and have them hunt for those shamrocks! They were SO excited when they saw the shaving cream!

Each time they grabbed a handful of the shaving cream they would dunk their hands into the bowl of water and squish it around a bit to clear the shaving cream off and then place the shamrocks on the paper towels.

This was a really quick and easy activity and the kids loved it!
