DIY Valentines Day Popsicle Stick Frame!

We make a lot of crafts at our house! My boys LOVE it! And they’ve gotten good using paint, glue and scissors without making too much of a mess, or cutting off a limb!
Making crafts together is such a fun time together for the kids and I always appreciate the cute art piece that I get to hang up around the house!

So if you're looking for some fun time together and a hands-on motor activity, this is the craft to make!
And just in time for Valentines Day!

SUPPLIES:

Large Popsicle sticks
White paint
Foam paint brush
Red and pink buttons in different sizes
Hot glue gun and sticks
School glue
White paper
Scissors
Markers

DIRECTIONS:

Step 1: Hot glue the popsicle sticks together to form a square frame.

Step 2: Paint the popsicle sticks.

Step 3: Once paint is dry, start gluing on buttons. My older boy wanted to use the hot glue gun and my preschooler wanted to use school glue. Both glues work, just make sure to watch the littles so they don’t burn themselves with hot glue!

Step 4: Cut a square out of white paper (a little larger than the frame) and have the kids draw a picture or write a little message. After they finish, hot glue the paper to the back of the frame.

And you’re done!

This was a really fun and cute craft that my boys are excited to give away to their grandparents for Valentines Day!
