The Fourth of July is coming up and that means it's almost time for FIREWORKS!!! Woot woot we LOVE fireworks and the 4th of July!!!
Today's craft is so simple and will for sure get the kiddos excited for those fireworks!
I love making crafts that use stuff we already have on hand and this is one of those crafts!
I mentioned in my tip Tuesday earlier this week that used toilet paper rolls can be saved and recycled to make fun crafts for the kids and this is one of them! Have the kids make their own bright happy fireworks on paper to hang up around the house! It's a great way to keep the magic of the 4th alive through out the whole month!
Here's what you'll need:
- Toilet Paper Rolls
- Scissors
- Tape
- Red, Blue and White Paint
- Paper
Instructions:
1. Begin by cutting slits half way up a toilet paper roll. Cut slits all the way around the roll and with the last slit cut all the way up to open the roll.
2. Roll the roll into as tight of a tube as you can and tape shut.
3. Now take each slit and bend up and out to form a flower shape.
4.Time to dip into the paint! I set out a separate plate for each color, though the colors all got mixed together at the end.
Isn't it beautiful?!
This is a great craft for toddlers since they love painting and stamping stuff! And it really doesn't make too much of a mess.
