Egg Carton Animal Craft

Looking for a fun and cheap craft for the littles? No worries mom, I've got you covered! Why not recycle an egg carton into fun animals from some of your kids favorite books!

Our days get quite busy (crazy) with 3 little ones running around, but when the boys and I get a chance to sit down together and read a book, it is such a fun and special time!
The boys go grab a stack of books, we snuggle together in their play tent and we read.
It is the best! I love watching their eyes light up and their imagination run wild!

And what better way to add to the fun of reading a favorite book than to have the kids make a craft inspired by that book!

Supplies Needed:

- Egg Carton
- Paint and Paintbrushes
- Glue Gun
- Scissors
- Googly Eyes,
- Colored Construction Paper
- Pipecleaners
- Markers

Directions:

First, have the kids decide what animals they want to make then begin helping them cut out the shapes for the animals.

Now time for the painting and gluing and cutting etc... all the fun things to transform those egg cartons into adorable little animals!

Here's the animals we made from some of the boys favorite books...

"The very busy spider" by Eric Carle

"The very hungry caterpillar" by Eric Carle

And this last book is one my talented brother wrote and illustrated..
"Toby the turtle- friends 101"
