Splat Paint Christmas Tree!

Splat Paint!

Remember this fun activity we did earlier this year?! My kids sure did and they've been asking when the next time we could do it again! I guess they liked it or something! haha!

Remember, This activity can get quite messy and paint will FOR SURE go flying around everywhere,so make sure you use washable kid paint and do this activity where you don't mind making a mess!

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

- Washable kid paint
- Rubber Mallet
- Large Posterboard
- Markers or Crayons
- Cotton Rounds

STEP 1: Help the kids draw a Christmas tree onto the poster board and then have them color it in.

STEP 2: Next, start placing blobs of paint all over the tree for the ornaments. You can do any size blob because "ornaments come in every size", as my 5 year old told me!

STEP 3: Cover each blob with a cotton round so your kids can't see what color is under them. It was fun having them guess what color was under each blob before swinging!

STEP 4: Now it's time to start smacking those cotton rounds to see what color (ornament) is hidden beneath!

This activity is so fun! Smacking those cotton rounds with a rubber mallet and watching that paint "splat out" is seriously the best! I we love seeing the beautiful artwork that's always underneath!
