Heart Suncatchers

These suncatchers are so pretty to look at which make them perfect for a Valentines craft!
This was a favorite craft for the boys since they got to use scissors and glue.. the ideal combination for toddlers to have a blast AND make a total mess!
You don't need much to make these beauties and your kids will have so much fun making them!

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

- Tissue Paper
- Scissors
- Mod Podge
- Clear sheet protectors
- Foam paint brushes

STEP 1: Begin cutting the tissue paper into 1 by 1 squares and have your kiddos help with the cutting, they will love it!

STEP 2: Cut a clear sheet protector along the seams to create two sheets of plastic.

STEP 3: Have your kids spread a thick layer of mod podge over their sheet of plastic with a foam paint brush.

STEP 4: Now start pressing the squares of tissue paper on top of the mod podge.

STEP 5: After you've placed a layer of tissue paper all over the plastic sheet use the foam paintbrush again to spread (decoupage) another layer of mod podge on top of the tissue paper squares.

STEP 6: Now let the mod podge dry. Once completely dry gently  fold the plastic in half to cut out a heart shape.

The decoupaged tissue paper will peel right off the plastic.

That's it! Now you have beautiful suncatchers to tape to your window and will make you happy each time you walk by! They sure make us happy over here!
